I just need to know a safe sustitute for cocaine for my actors to use, as killing my actors would most definately fuk continuity. Please help!!!

Well, do you want them to acually snort it? Becasue if not you can just use any white powder and maybe do some camera tricks to make it appear they are snorting it.

Try mixing sugar and flour. Mostly sugar and a little flour. I havn't tried this but doesn't mean you shouldn't. Good luck.

you can buy gels and bulbs from Calumet,there is one in LA.
Gels are coloured transparent plastic that change the colour of your light.
diffusion paper changes the quality of light makes it softer but they don't alter the colour.
Buying lights check out www.loot.com I think there's a US version and search ,you can get some real bargains.

Probably your best bet is just coke. Get a decent wrap and nobody should get hurt. You'll all have an absolutely fantastic time making the best film ever made and staring actors who'd make Lawrence Olivier blush with jealousy.

Then the next day you can all sit around moaning about crap, watch your abismal effort at filmmaking, and realise what a bunch of tossers you all are when your on coke.

Nah on second thoughts I'd stick with the sugar....

Use sherbet, it works fine. I've tried it before and there were no bad effects. It looks pretty much exactly the same as cocaine (not that i've ever seen any, only on TV)so it will look better that sugar or the other responses above. It gives you a little shock when you do it aswell which means it will look more realistic when snorting it.

Sugar and flour

Salt and flour
Just salt

I don't know what it's called but there's a type of salt that you can buy in any store. And it's not fine like sugar but it's in bigger clumps. And it's more CRYSTAL-ee. I wish i knew what it's called, it'd be perfect for cocain. Ask someone who cooks about different types of salts. Good look.

use icing-sugar. A trick on how to snort it is to have your actors actually blow out throught their nose as their heads move down a line of "coke" blocking the camera.
